Grow Another Cat for Katrina

I followed the US out of the UN Blogroll (Thanks Pirate Steve) to Harvey at Bad Example to RomeoCat at CatHouse Chat's entry in the Carnival of Recipes.

This is the part where I steal RomeoCat's idea. When it comes to charity, plagiarism is the sincerest form of flattery. If you haven't visited her post, go there, publish a comment for $$$, put some soup on the stove, then come back here.

RomeoCat has whispered into the little devil kitty's ear about her other comment-for-charity post, which is for Soldiers' Angels Hurricane Relief. Imagine a family worried about their soldier, then the soldier worried about his or her family. Double the worry, double your donation.

So let's grow another Cat. (Picture of kitty courtesy of Hallmark Cards)

Scan Courtesy of Hallmark Cards
The tastefully philanthropic company I work for, offered to match any employee donation, from their personal funds, for Katrina relief, suspending the standard cap for this occasion.

So that being said, for tasteful, unique non-spam comments to this post, I will pony up five bucks apiece. For tasteful unique non-spam trackbacks, from your post, which reference this post, I will pony up ten dollars per track.

Feel free to masquerade as a frustrated moonbat or wingnut bursting with pride. No Hollywood potty mouths please. Any resemblance of the comment posters to actual public figures is a pure fabrication of unrestrained naughtiness.

This time, the Charity is the American Red Cross (Company choice).
My ceiling is $350.
Yippee! The company extended the deadline to Sep. 23rd.

So, this is a potential $700 for victim relief. Hit me!

Please donate your time, money or whatever you can, to Katrina victim relief:
Red Cross
Salvation Army
Technorati ,
Spice up your soup with Basil.

Do not misconstrue, as payment due, this click for you, as a clue that reparations are no longer in the queue .

If Insolublog had put up a charity comment blog post before the election, Christopher Reeve would be walking today.

First there were the atrocities of Nazi Germany. Then there were the brutal tortures of Gitmo. Now we have Insolublog and his celebrity charity post. When will justice be done!?

The children of NOLA were laughing, running and flying kites before the evil Bush hurricane blew in. We all know you're about water and oil, Insolublog.

  13. Looks like you've shaken up the Hard Left with this one! Maybe you should have chosen to Grow a new Rat, rather than Cat.

You wingnut bloggers are all monolithic. You all believe the same. You all look the same. You're all pretty much a white Christian party. Not like our not entirely white non-denominational secular, culturally diverse, non-homophobic... wait a minute, where was I? I didn't use a double negative back there did I? Anyhoo... Yeaaaarggh!

The mind-expanding freedom of my hemp oil powered tour bus, allows me to imagine a future without fossil fuels, and more money to spend on charity.

Sandy. I'm sorry. But you are barred from my donation pile for three years.
