Fred Thompson

Is knocking one out of the park as I write this.

UPDATE:

He knocked it WAY out.

This was one of the best speeches I have heard and seen all year. It was a real American tribute.

This was the very reason Fred and Mitt were in my top two for the whole season.

Oh my goodness! I totally AGREE!!!! This is an amazing speech!

The reactions of the crowd, and the chants of U.S.A after Monsoor's tribute...all of it, just a great night.

The difference in the two conventions is just huge!

That was historic, RT. If you can't feel proud of the country and the candidate, after that one, well, you must be a liberal.

It was very moving and so spot on, too.

Where was that man the past year? HUH?!?!?!?!?!? Dangit!

I know I can't play "what if," but imagine Palin and Thompson....WOW!

Okay, I'm giddy, but that was one of the best, if not the best, speech I've heard. (Aside from Reagan's gems back in the day.)

I believe Fred did not have the energy to bear this evil media microscope.

I think McCain is one of the few Republicans with credentials so austere, i.e. his POW status and his previous history of media cooperation, that this most evil force in our discourse (the media) is still careful in its' willingness to destroy this candidate.

I firmly believe this Obama pandering army, is a force that would bring Venezuela style oppression to this country, in a NY heartbeat, if they could achieve it.

Yes, but this time at least it's still Obama instead of Hillary. He will slip up, but she wouldn't.

I was thinking the exact same thing, RT. Why didn't we hear him speak like this some months ago?

I agree, Fred Thompson does indeed rock.

Obama may well be more frightening than Hillary. Not sure, torn.

anon - What do they say about the devil you know vs. the devil you don't know?

Uber - Don't worry I think Palin will probably come out with the biggest set of balls in the whole campaign.
