The Broken Oath

What is in the Oath?

The Contitutional Oath Requirement Article VI section 3:

"The Senators and Representatives before mentioned, and the members of the several state legislatures, and all executive and judicial officers, both of the United States and of the several states, shall be bound by oath or affirmation, to support this Constitution; but no religious test shall ever be required as a qualification to any office or public trust under the United States."

The Presidential Oath of office Article II section 8:

Before he enter on the execution of his office, he shall take the following Oath or Affirmation - I do solemnly swear (or affirm) that I will faithfully execute the office of President of the United States, and will to the best of my ability, preserve, protect, and defend the Constitution of the United States.
The Congressional Oath:

I, Loyal Citizen of the Republic, do solemnly swear (or affirm) that I will support and defend the Constitution of the United States against all enemies, foreign and domestic; that I will bear true faith and allegiance to the same; that I take this obligation freely, without any mental reservation or purpose of evasion; and that I will well and faithfully discharge the duties of the office on which I am about to enter. So help me God.
To what does the Oath Apply?

Article I, Section 8 of the Constitution of the United States.

[1] The Congress shall have power to lay and collect taxes, duties, imposts and excises, to pay the debts and provide for the common defense and general welfare of the United States; but all duties, imposts and excises shall be uniform throughout the United States;

[2] To borrow money on the credit of the United States;

[3] To regulate commerce with foreign nations, and among the several states, and with the Indian tribes;

[4] To establish a uniform Rule of Naturalization, and uniform Laws on the subject of Bankruptcies throughout the United States;

[5] To coin money, regulate the value thereof, and of foreign coin, and fix the standard of weights and measures;

Yes folks, you read that right. A uniform rule of naturalization. The situation we have here, is a non-uniform system, kept that way, for at least several decades, with full intent and knowlege of our legislators. Lawbreakers receive amnesty, while new immigrants, using the existing system, playing by the rules, are treated with crippling bureaucracy.

Amendment XIV Section 1.

All persons born or naturalized in the United States, and subject to the jurisdiction thereof, are citizens of the United States and of the state wherein they reside. No state shall make or enforce any law which shall abridge the privileges or immunities of citizens of the United States; nor shall any state deprive any person of life, liberty, or property, without due process of law; nor deny to any person within its jurisdiction the equal protection of the laws.
Where is the equal protection for the legal immigrant, denied his or her immigration application, while illegal criminal invaders get amnesty? The answer is, there is no equal treatment or protection now being excercised by our officials.

Who does the Oath Protect?

Article I, Section 8 of the Constitution of the United States.
[15] To provide for calling forth the Militia to execute the Laws of the Union, suppress Insurrections and repel Invasions.

Article IV Section 4:

The United States shall guarantee to every state in this union a republican form of government, and shall protect each of them against invasion; and on application of the legislature, or of the executive (when the legislature cannot be convened) against domestic violence.


Do you feel like that guarantee is good for anything? What are your legislators doing about foreign invaders crossing the border to your country?

What are your elected officials doing about foreign nationals, inciting revolutionary insurrection in our city streets?

What are your legislators doing to repel this invasion?


How do you feel about ex post facto amnesty, again, knowing full well, that nothing will be done about future violations?

These solons are openly violating their Consititutional Oaths of office. It is right there, in writing!

No kidding! You assume that these basic principals and laws are taught anymore.

We now operate on the feel good policy which seems to be rendering the laws of our land obsolete.

Take a spanish class my friend, they'll be happy to teach that long before they bother teaching any pesky laws of naturalization!

peakah - Well I intend to be a pesky blogger over this issue.

wyatt - Dropped the ball? He never had this ball in his hands to begin with.

fmragtops - I hope the people have the spine to revolt at the voting booth.

CUG - Be careful. Check out CATO. I agree with much of what they say, but this issue is a total wash.

a4g - I could not agree more. The key here is a primary campaign of conservative empowerment. This issue, esp. the initial unpatriotic flag waiving and revolutionary rhetoric, should be showcased to the point of nausea.

I hope we have a Republic to look back on.
