Grow Another Cat for Katrina

I followed the US out of the UN Blogroll (Thanks Pirate Steve) to Harvey at Bad Example to RomeoCat at CatHouse Chat's entry in the Carnival of Recipes.

This is the part where I steal RomeoCat's idea. When it comes to charity, plagiarism is the sincerest form of flattery. If you haven't visited her post, go there, publish a comment for $$$, put some soup on the stove, then come back here.

RomeoCat has whispered into the little devil kitty's ear about her other comment-for-charity post, which is for Soldiers' Angels Hurricane Relief. Imagine a family worried about their soldier, then the soldier worried about his or her family. Double the worry, double your donation.

So let's grow another Cat. (Picture of kitty courtesy of Hallmark Cards)

Scan Courtesy of Hallmark Cards
The tastefully philanthropic company I work for, offered to match any employee donation, from their personal funds, for Katrina relief, suspending the standard cap for this occasion.

So that being said, for tasteful, unique non-spam comments to this post, I will pony up five bucks apiece. For tasteful unique non-spam trackbacks, from your post, which reference this post, I will pony up ten dollars per track.

Feel free to masquerade as a frustrated moonbat or wingnut bursting with pride. No Hollywood potty mouths please. Any resemblance of the comment posters to actual public figures is a pure fabrication of unrestrained naughtiness.

This time, the Charity is the American Red Cross (Company choice).
My ceiling is $350.
Yippee! The company extended the deadline to Sep. 23rd.

So, this is a potential $700 for victim relief. Hit me!

Please donate your time, money or whatever you can, to Katrina victim relief:
Red Cross
Salvation Army
Technorati ,
Spice up your soup with Basil.

Just movin' some of that money out of the hands of the evil white man.

Here's to my good lifelong friend Insolublog. Don't feel oppressed or downtrodden by the main stream media.

Do not misconstrue, as payment due, this click for you, as a clue that reparations are no longer in the queue .

So you've got all this extra cash on hand? Not when I saddle up mister.

If Insolublog had put up a charity comment blog post before the election, Christopher Reeve would be walking today.

My name is John Forbes Kerry, and I am reporting for comment duty! By the way, I served in Vietnam.

If people don't fill up this post with enough comments and trackbacks to break this bastard's limit, I swear I will kill myself.

Where are all your compassionate conservative friends? It looks like they are all tighter than my face.

First there were the atrocities of Nazi Germany. Then there were the brutal tortures of Gitmo. Now we have Insolublog and his celebrity charity post. When will justice be done!?

The children of NOLA were laughing, running and flying kites before the evil Bush hurricane blew in. We all know you're about water and oil, Insolublog.

Looks like you've shaken up the Hard Left with this one! Maybe you should have chosen to Grow a new Rat, rather than Cat.

You wingnut bloggers are all monolithic. You all believe the same. You all look the same. You're all pretty much a white Christian party. Not like our not entirely white non-denominational secular, culturally diverse, non-homophobic... wait a minute, where was I? I didn't use a double negative back there did I? Anyhoo... Yeaaaarggh!

What about solar energy!!? What about sustainable development and humanities grants for the 5,259 Arabs who are beaten every single day by our Boy King and his bandwagon of imbecilic stormtroopers!!? Dittoheads!

It was the wise William Shakespeare who said:

The list of comments to this blog is about as genuine as the list of voters for my re-election.

The mind-expanding freedom of my hemp oil powered tour bus, allows me to imagine a future without fossil fuels, and more money to spend on charity.

“Now Is Precisely The Time For Assessing Blame"...Fortunately for me you are donating money, cause the price went up on private flights thanks to the evil BeazilBush.

Don't listen to the Autorantic Moonbat. We have had a highly charged marriage for fifty years. I just pull her battery pack when she gets out of claw.

Why are you all slumming in this commentary? We need to get back to my personal crusade against our criminal oil Baron president.

I wouldn't give yew two holes in a pillowcase for your parties chances in the mid term elections. Just my five bucks worth.

I feel strangely compelled by the seduction of you and your compassionate conservative agenda, Insolublog.

This is just to prove to you how important a woman's right to choose is. I choose to post this comment.

I'll bet Novak won't post here. He's got to show these right-wingers that he's got backbone. Show them he's too tough to care.

That's Bull$hit James! And I don't have to take it! Here's your damn post.

I hope this isn't just another transfer of public funds from the mouths of one group of children to another. I've got my eye on you.

It's nice to see my invention being put to good use for a change.

Err. Umm. No comment.

I'm getting ready for you Helen.

Insolublog is like America. He is dumb, like a dumb puppy that has big teeth that can bite and hurt you, aggressive. So I'll occupy his snapping jaws with this five dollar bill.

I haven't seen this many friends, since Bush stole the election from me in 2000.

This post is clearly a violation of the Prime Directive.

This comment I place before you now is a tribute to the total UN commitment to elevate the people of America out of this tragedy.

If this were Cuba, Fidel Castro would have used his amazing charismatic power to scare off that bad old storm. This five dollar comment wont make up for the crimes of Bush's Nazi aggression.

One only hopes that, when you post, you're doing it in Windows with Internet Explorer! That way, your $5 makes even more sense.

If you'll let me near the donation pile, my pants will be happy to see you.

Sorry Bill. It's a Mac with OSX. But thank you for your 'donation'.

Sandy. I'm sorry. But you are barred from my donation pile for three years.
