The Finger Poke

The abuse of power and the cloak of secrecy from the White House continues. ... It's a devious maneuver that evades the constitutional requirement of Senate consent and only further darkens the cloud over Mr. Bolton's credibility at the U.N.

Sen. Edward M. Kennedy on appt. of John Bolton
It looks like the senator is wringing the booze out of his gusano again. What dark cloud over credibility? The only dark cloud has been a big shadow, cast by the MSM cloud seeding machine.
Recess appointments are Constitutional. Clinton used it. Thomas Jefferson used it ten times. Of course the rhetoric goes both ways.
If [Clinton] makes a recess appointment, then I have to say, it's a finger in the eye of the Senate. I think you'd find there would be an awful lot of repercussions from that.

Senator Orrin Hatch on appt. of Bill Lann Lee
Take note that Sen. Hatch did not make the outrageous claim that the mechanism was unconstitutional. He was upset that Clinton didn't raise the skirt of the Senate for a reach-around. Frankly, a finger in the eye is mild. If I were Hatch, I would have considered such a suggestive offer unsafe in the presence of Bill Clinton.

I'm glad Bush has waded out of the Gulf of Mexico long enough to let his testicles warm up. We have been in dire need of honest conservative work, for a change.

Well said. Turnabout is fair play. Kennedy's comments smack of thinly veiled sour grapes.

Very nice...

Its good to see a Yosemite Sam type personality go in there and smack lil kofi around a bit...

guarantee this shortens kofi's retirement date, if we could be so lucky...

...it'll be just in time to usher in you know who, the savior of the world...

"Here I come to save the daaaaaaaay!"

It'll be none other than Slick Willie to the rescue... oh the horror!

peakah - Doesn't Kofi remind you of an African version of Tom Daschle?

I wouldn't let clinton put his finger any where near me. That's how disease spreads.
